Chadeish Yameinu is an egalitarian Jewish Renewal Chavurah located in Santa Cruz, CA. We seek spirit in community, and community in spirit. We enjoy participatory davennen, Torah study, chanting, singing, dancing, and Bibliodrama. We experiment with form, content, and leadership in our spiritual quests.
All of our worship services are free and open to anyone. We invite to you to come to a Shabbat or other events and become acquainted with our community.

Dances of Universal Peace
Body Prayers Using Mantras or Sacred Phrases from many of the World Religions
 
Each Sunday evening from 7:00pm - 9:00pm the HeartStream Sufi community gathers to sing, chant, do Zhikr and to deepen in connection to the Beloved, to other and to self. The dances are relaxing, joyful, playful, meditative circle dances to live music. Everyone is welcome! The dances are simple, each one is taught and no partners are needed.
   
 

 

Crystal Chalice Healing Meditation

with Amrita and the Singing Crystal Bowls

Enter the sacred healing space of the singing crystal bowls and angelic toning. Bring your prayers, desires, intentions and release them into the sound.

Amrita uses sound to take you to "the center within," where all of your answers reside. The sounds are created by crystal singing bowls, bells, chimes, and Amrita's heavenly "soul singing". Amrita plays the singing crystal bowls with impressive skill. As she sings her voice becomes transparent, and the music that comes from the combination is like a sonic universal mandala. People are able to access deep textures of consciousness as they listen, and experience their own inner vibrations of heart and mind. Her voice guides you into virtual sound labyrinth as she accesses healing harmonics and powerful overtones, directing you through focused intention to the areas where healing is most needed. Sessions are healing, life changing, relaxing and nurturing. Her work comes from insights received during her own incredible healing from breast cancer using sound and breath.

Liturgy of the Grail Chalice

The Liturgy of the Grail Chalice is a Kabbalistic Communion Liturgy based on the authentic practices of Master Jesus. This is a participatory service of communion with the Divine. It utilizes a call and response format of chanting and harmonic intoning, as well as mudras to receive and direct energy. We lift up our hearts as Divine Chalices and pour out the Grail Blessing to the world.

Zhikr
And Practices of Light

Zhikr is a fundamental practice of the Sufi that is used to awaken the heart and to open the lover to the inner world of the Divine. It literally means "rememberance" for the Sufi aspires to remember God in every breath. Zhikr is the repetition of one of the names of God whereby the attention is turned toward God and the whole being of the lover becomes permeated with the joy of remembering the Beloved.

2008 Zhikr is the Second and Fourth Friday of each month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm

We will use movement and sound along with the names of God and the traditional phrases of the zhikr to unite the circle in the remembrance of perfection and unity.
 
 

The Diamond
Approach to

Development
Spirituality is frequently seen as something set apart from our daily lives, something we do at special times in special places. But the work that Jeanine Mamary is teaching at The Garden this year, the teachings of the Diamond Approach to Spiritual Development, calls students to a full and deep realization in the midst of life. Using open-ended inquiry into one's personal, embodied experience, students explore the essence of what it means to be human, the nature of the soul and the boundless dimensions of reality that are its ground. Jeanine's group at the Garden is currently closed to new students but she is presently welcoming applicants to a new Diamond Approach group in the South Bay.
